About Me

I'm a former 6th grade teacher that has loved photography for as long as I can remember!  

Growing up in Tyler, Texas, my first subjects were my reluctant pets and my sister.  I started photography in 2009 with a new camera - 5 cameras later, I love photography even more.

 

I am married - to my wonderful hubby Kurtis - whom I met on a Caribbean cruise back in 2003.  We lived in Tulsa, OK for 10 years before moving to Texas - and I make frequent trips to Tulsa to photograph my past clients.  We have 2 children - a boy and girl - both under the age of 10.   I am a full time stay at home mom - so most days are full of laundry, dishes, and making snacks.    To relax, I love to take pictures of my own kiddos or hanging out at Starbucks with a book and drinking a mocha.

I stand out as a photographer because - well - I'm a mom too! I get it.  I get how these images are special - I used to scroll through the images I had taken of my  own children when I was up in the middle of the night feeding them, or after a rough day of parenting.  Parenting is hard. Capturing your children now - at this stage - is important and special to your heart.  You see the innocence - the happiness - and the joy that your child shows when they are having fun and snuggling with Mom and Dad.  

That's what I want to help you remember forever.
