Milestone Sessions

I've had a lot of requests lately for info about cake smashes/ birthday sessions at my studio! I thought I'd write a quick post, with photos of course, to help explain!
1) First Things First - Cake or No Cake?
Your first decision to make is if you want to have a cake smash or not!
This will help you decide how many outfits you should pick out, if family/siblings will be included, etc.

2) CAKE SMASH options
You decided you want a cake smash. YAY! So fun!
Option 1: BIRTHDAY BABE ONLY

My recommendation is my Mini Session (30 minutes) which is perfect for this. It allows time for 2 outfits for "non cake" photos and 1 outfit for cake smashing. In my studio, I can set up a couple different props/backdrops to change the look a bit.
Option 2 - CAKE SMASH WITH FAMILY PHOTOS
Want some family pics? Sure thing! Just only bring 2 outfits total (instead of 3)-- 1 outfit for babe with the family and some individual pics, then 1 cake smash outfit. With adding family/sibling photos, we will not have as much variety of birthday babe alone. FYI - no family outfit changes. This part of the session will be about 10-15 minutes.
ALL of the pictures posted below are MY props in MY studio - the one balloon stools/rugs, basketsetc. I did not provide the outfits, cake toppers, or cakes.

30 Minute Milestone Sessions
*No Cake*
Maybe your little one isn't a year old yet, but you want to capture some of the adorable personality they are developing! Mini Session (30 minutes) which is perfect for this. You can involve siblings, family, and /or an outfit change or two, with props! *Please no family outfit changes. Just milestone babe.

10 Minute Milestone Sessions
*No Cake*
No matter the age, a quick session to capture some of their personality and new skills (pulling up, touching toes, smiling, sitting up, etc) is a great way to go. My 10 Minute Micro Mini Session
(1 0 minutes) is perfect for this and is budget friendly. No outfit changes for these sessions - time goes quick and I want to capture as much as I can in 10 minutes for you!
