Sitter Session (6-9 months)
This is one of my absolute favorites and honestly one of the most underrated milestone sessions out there! Around 6-9 months babies hit this magical window where they can sit up on their own, they are SO smiley and interactive, and they have not yet figured out how to crawl away from everything. The personality is fully there and they are at peak adorable.

Simple First Birthday Session (10 minutes - No Cake Smash)
Not every family wants a messy cake smash - and that is completely okay! Some parents want classic, timeless portraits of their one year old that they can frame and treasure forever. My simple first birthday sessions are clean, sweet, and focus entirely on your baby's personality without the sugar rush aftermath.
10 minute session — perfect for wiggly one year olds with short attention spans
Studio setup with clean beautiful backgrounds
Simple props like a ONE banner, balloons, or something sentimental you bring from home
No outfit changes — keeps baby happy and session moving smoothly

The Cake Smash Session (1 year)
THE classic first birthday experience! If you want to see your baby absolutely covered in frosting with the biggest proud grin on their face, the cake smash session is for you. These sessions are SO fun and the photos are always pure joy.
Here is how a typical cake smash session flows:
Clean photos first: we start with beautiful clean portraits before the cake comes out. Best outfit goes on first!
Family photos: mom, dad, and siblings all get in for some sweet family shots (optional!)
Cake time: the star of the show! We bring out the cake and let baby go to town. Some babies dive right in, some are more hesitant — I have seen it all and I am patient!
Cleanup provided: my studio is set up for this — I have everything you need to get baby cleaned up before you head home!
Tips for a great cake smash:
Let baby try a little sugar before the session so they are not completely confused by the cake!
Schedule the session when baby is usually happy and awake - not right before nap time
Bring a change of clean clothes for baby AND for yourself - frosting gets everywhere!
You can bring your own cake or I suggest Market Street for great small cakes!

What to Wear for a Milestone Session in Frisco TX
For milestone sessions in my studio, here are my go-to tips:
For baby: something easy to get on and off - especially for cake smash sessions! Rompers, simple dresses, and outfits without a million snaps are your best friend
Neutral colors and soft tones: creams, whites, dusty pinks, sage greens, and warm tones all photograph beautifully in the studio
For family photos: coordinate loosely - everyone does not need to match but should complement each other
For cake smash: put baby in the outfit you most want photos in FIRST before the cake comes out. Once the cake arrives that outfit is done!
Bring a spare outfit for yourself: I cannot stress this enough for cake smash sessions. Frosting travels in ways that defy physics!
